You need to lighten up. The advice seems to be very sound, and I wouldn't be surprised if results have been coming his way. Good jorb Asdf, Full of Myself, or whoever wants to take credit for that.

Ok guys, I am really sorry about all the messages.

I have been giving everyone kind of a hard time. It was all in good fun.
Obviously, I am not this full of myself. I just wanted people to believe in themselves and not limit their potential by giving up.

"full of myself?" did offer his advice when he was asked, and it seemed like reasonable advice, but some people dont agree with him so that makes him an idiot?...this is ridiculous, hes not wanting anyone to do anything, he is just responding to people's questions. obviously there are different opinions on this topic, so just because someone has a different viewpoint, they are wrong?

ouch you are right, this conversation has just fallen apart, but thats because of people like you who instead of contributing to this site with knowledge and facts, decide to just call people idiots or cowards and say people live in their basements when really you have no idea what you are talking about. It's a shame

It is obvious that "full of myself?" is an idiot who is just egging everyone on here...let it go everyone else... you are just doing what he wants you to do...he wants to feel important...when in reality he is living in his mom's basement....

Ha, right, because I wont post my name online to people who call me a coward and full of myself because I train smarter than them and apparently get results that are unbelievable, not by my standards, but by the standards of many on here? One guy actually compared my results to Superman. Many of you are serious clowns and disgrace the hard work of De Santis and Garrett by dragging your knucklesall over this site. Either accept some advice and get better or shut up and keep training and swimming slow. Why is that so hard to understand?

so my team did this set tonight in yards (same intervals- we did it with our junior and age groupers too- all crammed into one pool tonight)... it's a beast, if you work it correctly...

at one point i heard quick say on the 200 to just double their fast 100 time... i said the same thing on to my group, and a 12 year old girl went out 2 seconds faster (first 100 was 130, then on 200 went out in 128, back in 130)... so I thought- what the heck. i shouted out on the 300 to be at your 100 plus your 200... 6 kids did it- the 12 year old girl was 126, 129, 128 for a 424... so obviously i shouted out to double the 200 on the 400... i even bet some pushups (by me and my assistant) if someone kicks the 400 under their pb in the 500... 20 pushups for each person...
amazingly, i had to do 40 pushups as the 12 year old girl and another senior gal were under. the 12 year old was 126/130/130/128 for 554, and the senior girl went 546...
i'm not convinced they were killing it like they should have been at the start of the set, probably a bit cautious, but it was a really good set for them. my fastest kickers were in the 510 range on the 400, which is pretty nice for us.

I've talked to a couple of college coaches that encourage a stroke into the wall, for fast turns and just overall speed. Their reasoning was that they are encouraging continuous speed without slowing down. It's possible that Quick feels the same way, or its possible that Auburn swimmers are just lazy. I will admit it's pretty cumbersome to kick into the wall and turn around without the stroke.

I also live in the Northeast, but coach a college swim team, sort of preventing me from traveling around too much and filming workouts and meets since I'm sort of at my own workouts and meets. If you have somewhere in the northeast you'd like me to be in the off season maybe we can work something out. Shoot me a message.

These swimmers need more self discipline, stroking into the walls doesn't show determination and drive to win.

Not a coward, I don't mean to speak for Garret or anything, but I'm sure if you helped him get to a school in the north, be it monetarily or otherwise, he would be more likely to visit. My guess is the reason there is so much AU and UT is the proximity to Garrett's location. And I agree with Interesting, I personally can't get enough Eddie Reese and Richard Quick.

Auburn and Texas are some of the best programs and I enjoy watching the best...And Eddie Reese and Richard Quick are my favorite people to listen to. I could listen to Eddie 24/7....other schools make it interesting...but we want to learn from the best, right? (east coast anyhow...hard for Garrett to be on both coasts, all the time). My 2 cents
