Swim Smarter
November 12, 2007
First off, thank you all for your emails and messages about the site. I always appreciate any feedback, and just so you know this is just the beginning...
How many of you keep a swim log? How many of you have played around with the logs on floswimmr? When you create an account on floswimmr we really appreciate when you guys fill out the profile and put up pictures, but on top of being a network floswimmr is a new age coaching tool. Log into your floswimmr account and click "Logs" on the left side of your profile. What pops up is a daily workout log that you can fill out as extensively or briefly as you want. The color system lets you summarize how you felt about the practice and then view your workouts in a week and month view to get a quick summary of your work.
When your coach signs up your team you'll become part of a locker room where your team can share a message board and your coach can comment on your workout logs. The logs will be private between you and your coach so don't worry about anyone else seeing them.
I know what you're saying, "Maybe we'll start that at the beginning of next season..." Why? The logs let you archive tapers and workouts so when next season starts you can have months of info on your training. The sooner you start the more valuable the info is. Its tough to be a trend setter, but this kind of logging system is going to be so big for our sport. So start using it today and start swimming smart.
