The ORCA Program provides a system of instructional and training groups designed to move youngsters through their swimming careers smoothly and successfully. Placement is made by analyzing ability and progress while determining what is best for the swimmer. Younger groups are basically instructional programs. Higher groups gradually shift from an emphasis on instruction to the training required to reach highest levels of swimming competition. Placement in these groups will depend upon attendance, attitude, ability, and desire. All judgments will be made with the approval of the Program Director. Any questions about swimmers' placements are to be directed to him.

While a swimmer's ability may suggest a tougher training program, other factors may not. Have faith in your coach’s ability to do the long-range planning for your swimmer. They know swimming and what will happen to a swimmer if advanced before he/she is really ready to handle it. They also know your swimmer and will do what is right when it is time to do it.

Training Philosophy: The goal for every successful athletic program should be to make the experience challenging while keeping it enjoyable. ORCA SWIMMING WILL BE NO EXCEPTION. Our goal is for every swimmer to master the PROPER technique in all four strokes, starts, and turns. We all know that growth patterns determine when a child will develop the physical tools to swim his/her very best. Our job is to make sure the swimmer has the proper technique when ready and strong enough to use it. Movement through our program is determined by your swimmer's ability to learn the strokes, and then, gradually the ability to increase the intensity of training. Natural maturity, both mental and physical, will determine much of this movement. Desire will provide that extra push!

Hey this is fun.... It's just great to be able to watch these videos so easily. I see lots of room for improvement but that's a good thing. It simply means there is great reason to feel that we can swim FASTER. Thanks John..GREAT IDEA!!! Add me everyone...John
