Erik Vendt is participating in the 800 FR at the US Olympic Trials (Swimming)


Erik Vendt

One of the world's elite distance swimmers, Erik is the American Record Holder in the 400 meter freestyle, and the US Open Record Holder in the 1500 meter freestyle.
He is a 2-time Olympic Silver Medalist in the 400 IM (2000, and 2004). He has also won a pair of World Championship medals, and a bronze at the Pan Pacific games in 2006.
While competing for the University of Southern California, he was a five-time NCAA title winner, 13-time All-American and seven-time Pac-10 title winner.
After a year and a half of retirement, Erik returned to the sport, training at Club Wolverine under Jon Urbanchek and Bob Bowman.
