yooo Garrett. This was a fast meet (well the A finals anyway, and Johnny McGinley in the 2 b final). But PA states are going to be ridiculous this year. I think you should check em out. There at Bucknell.

The mens 100 butterfly A final was so inspiring! A whole half the pool of underwaters and only 6 stokes on the last lap. Holy canolie.

We did not film them. We had to leave and get the rest of the videos up before the finals session.

Yes we really regret that we had to leave before those back 500 heats but with hundreds of races to label and upload we would have missed the beginning of finals that night.

If you watch the day 2 prelims rap they said they had to leave early in order to make it back to finals in time.

The majority of the teams are from the region but occasionaly we get El Paso Cathedral, and i think we have had Dallas Bishop Lynch, and Maybe even Dallas Jesuit come before they went into UIL-5a

sure you have one or two fast swimmers in every event but this is definitely not as impressive top to bottom as Texas high school state. get good.
hey fast?, I coach in Penn. now but i grew up swimming in Texas...I made TX HS state 3 years in a row(I moved to Philly when i was a senior)...won 3 relays and 4 individuals...then my senior year at Easterns i lost the 500 by about 5 seconds....my relay broke the Nation high school record, but unfortunaletly we got 3rd...and it seems like theres more scouts than swimmers...if you think TX is fast, which it is, try just try to make an all-star TX hs state meet team vs a all-star easterns team...Finals at Easterns is like the Super Bowl in overtime....Finals at Texas HS state is like the crowd at the world series of Poker...You just cant and wont understand unless you go and expeience it yourself...

I like this meet a lot. However, why is a +800 swimmer meet set in a six-lane pool? Having such a large meet in a small pool is both dangerous and annoying.

true, but you've got to consider that this isn't all of the best swimmers in the region. If you were to combine the kids who swim for public school, the club swimmers, and the catholic league this meet would give texas states a run for its money.

on the men's side it'll be a battle between defending champ Baylor, the Peddie School, and Loyola Blakefield. Of course you can never count out Mercersburg and GA. Who's going to take it? Can Baylor carry over from TN states for back to back Eastern crowns?
