Olympic Gold Medalists Jason Lezak, Nathan Adrian, Ous Mellouli, Tae Hwan Park and Rebecca Soni highlight the 2009 Janet Evans Invitational. Brought to you by Floswimming contributer Scott Ellison.
thanks for the reply Scott--my kid has a meet in a couple of weeks and we don't have the wherewithall to purchase a lzr, but own a B70. we'll see if coach lets the kids even wear them for finals...

I asked a lot of folks around the meet about this, and they said they didn't care. Not in a negligent sort of way - they knew full and well about the approved suit list - but I think there's just no way they could've purchased new suits in time for this meet.
Adrian will lose to Lezak again if Adrian wears a speedo/banana hammock/grape smuggler like he did in the 50 and Lezak wears a Jaked/outboard motor like he did in the 50.
Park is back with Dave Salo for a second training stint before worlds. Let's hope he likes the pool; I'm expecting him to go about 13 seconds faster when Pan Pacs are held in that pool in 2010 (i.e, under Thorpe's World Record).
I think Mellouli is better suited to two big races in a session. Remember when he was doing three-a-day on the World Cup (including winning the mile by 1/2 a second, then coming back after a one event break and taking the 200 Free at 5 out of 7 meets)?
I'm thinking almost the exact opposite of what Nick said for the 100. Lezak 48.3-48.4, Adrian 49.1-49.3.

For six weeks back around January, Park was at USC training. That is likely why he is representing Trojan, although I'm not sure if he is still training there now.

Ous pwned Park in the 400m ?
3:47,15 to 3:52,54
I did not expect that. And I dont care how hard he is training atm. 3:52,5 is a training swim any day at this level.
There is the official USA Swimming ruling. Basically feel free to where your B70 until further notice from USA Swimming.

Lezak was wearing a Jaked wen he went 47.80

and no one filmed? i have footage if you want me to put it up garret but it might cost you a b70:)
Is Lezak tapered? He must be ....

Really? Even after Lezak beat him in the 50 by a second?
