Seven of his NCAA titles were as the head women’s coach of Stanford, and 5 were as the women’s head coach at Texas. He is in his first year but second go-round at Auburn University where he was the men’s and women’s head coach from 1978-1982. Richard has coached 96 All-Americans and 41 NCAA champions, and his list of NCAA and Olympic champions make a strong argument that he is one of USA Swimming's greatest coaches of all time.

It doesn't get much bigger than Auburn vs. Texas. The defending national champion Auburn swimming and diving team squares off against Longhorns of Texas in one of the biggest college dual meets of the year. And every race from the dual will be on floswimming.org.
On the men's side Texas is ranked #1 in the country, but Auburn is looking for revenge after the Longhorns snapped the War Eagle's 21 meet win streak last season. The #16 Texas women's team will try to take down the defending national champion and #2 ranked Tigers of Auburn. Last years matchup was won by Auburn 140-91.
