About Jon Urbanchek

Organization:Club Wolverine
Bio:
One of the most respected coaches in the world, Jon has enjoyed success at the club, college, and international levels.

Around 20 Olympians as well as multiple national team members come together in what looks on paper to be one of the fastest meets in recent memory. Last year at The Missouri Grand Prix a World and American record fell, proving that Missouri's pool is one of the fastest in the country. Add to that an even deeper, faster field of swimmers and the debut of the new Speedo LZR and we've got the makings for a smoking fast kick off to the long course season. Oh yeah, and the format is set to prep the Olympians for Beijing... we're going prelims at night finals in the morning. Better eat your Wheaties...

Great explanation of the lactate recovery process and the warm-down protocol!... Take heed those who spend too much time getting to the warm-down, post competition. I believe Jon's explanation takes care of any need to speak of 'active recovery', right? And 14:47 by Vendt?... There's a reason these folks from Ann Arbor are swimming well.
"Four more years, Urby!..." The Frog Shop doesn't need you, yet...
