I swam behind Nelson on swim team for 3 years, just following him made me faster. That, and he is a wicked awesome dude, eh?

Man Nels is the man! he can swim like a fish.. and paintball like a.... really good paint balla.... Swimming with nels in high school was epic

The guy is AWESOME! Knowing him in high school as my section leader in marching band, he was an inspiration, but now the OLYMPIC TRIALS!!! I had NO IDEA that I knew a future world-class athlete!! I think he might win!

Nelson Westby is an excellent representation of Division III aquatics and how success relies on the individual. Although successful, St. Olaf does not have the best facilities. He is a product of hard work and determination.

Nelson is one of 3 Division III at US Olympic Trials. He'll be a senior at St. Olaf next season.
