yeah seriously that was sketchy with the guy from austrailia. setting down a tape recorder in front of her, comes back 5 seconds later and gets it. what in the heck?
The coaches decide who will be on all relays and will choose who they believe will be the fastest foursome. They can select anyone on the Olympic team regardless of whether or not they swam the event corresponding to that leg of the relay at Trials. The only U.S. woman who has swum the 200 free faster than Natalie is Katie Hoff, so that makes Natalie a very strong candidate to swim the 4x200 relay.

I don't understand how she can swim relays like the 4x200 if she wasn't even in the 200 freestyle field? there are already 6 girls...the 100 free she did swim so yeah she is on the 4x100 and her backstroke is so good possibly the medley? but how is the 4x200 possible could someone please explain?
Aww, I remember the first time I found the shift key, too!
anyhoo, interesting interview! Though I think I found the other interviewers coming and going very curious. And that one photog seems like a restraining order waiting to happen.

Natalie Coughlin will be leading a young group of ladies into Beijing, and some of the questions still remain about how she will be used as a relay swimmer. July 26, 2008
