Some things transcend the Olympics, and one of those things is character. Brendan does not need an individual gold in swimming. He already has one in character, one that far outshines any gold he could win in swimming. How he got to this point took a lot of internal work that is far tougher than any Texas workout season. We should all be proud to have a swimmer like Brendan representing our country.
Now if we can get him to run for President. Really! 1do not think he would need to go abroad to drum up votes. "It's time for a REAL change ... Brendan Hansen for President!"
Ok, that is a fantasy, and I do hope Brendan will rip the pool in the 100 Breaststroke.
