No, its not a functional contraption....it is yet another expensive gimmick todays culture continuously churns out ....promising "the quick fix" and "a pain free workout" cooling core temperature in a training setting when prolonged and repeated exertion leads to elevated body temperature or in a situation such as a bike race or other forms of distance competitions such as marathons ect...this may have some value.....but time spent sitting on the side of the pool wearing that food processor on your hand post swim when you should be in a cool down pool swimming your heartrate back down and flushing all of the blood gasses and waste product out of your system will do more harm that good....sitting! post swim....causes harm to muscle fiber....while cooling down for fifteen to twenty minutes flushes the system and had the added bonus of....wait for it....allowing your core body temperature to return to normal!

Actually, it is a functional contraption. The idea behind it is that your hands don't have capillaries that can contract with a decrease in temperature, so by bringing all the blood to the surface, you can get blood in contact with cool water and get that to cool your body more efficiently than any other part of your body. It is most noticable in hot climates. The less NRG/resources your body devotes to losing heat, the better it can help your muscles recover. I don't know about you guys, but as an Ironman triathlete, I quickly discovered how critical recovery is.
Actually, the Garmin-Chipotle cycling team (you may know them because it was a guy from Illinois on that team that took 5th overall in this years Tdf).
what kind of level are you talking about? for ymca swimmers this may be the highest level for them. this technology might be right for them at this meet
absurd, you are a smart poster.
