Matt was a multiple-time NCAA champion over his collegiate career at Northwestern University under Bob Groseth. After finishing sixth at trials in 2004, Grevers is a 2008 Olympian.
phelps is swimming it in finals, just so that it gets better coverage on nbc... or at least thats what i think is gonna happen
but the existing wr splits are
phelps: 48.83
walker: 47.89
jones: 47.96
lezak: 47.76
i think that adrian, jones, grevers, and wildman(?) can put it together and split faster than that
phelps could be swimming it in prelims for all i know, which would pretty much ensure that they would get the WR but i think that they can get it without him
im guessing that theyre saving spots for lezak and gwg and phelps on the relay at finals, and that jones or grevers will get the other spot... most likely jones, but dont ever count out grevers like they did in backstroke at trials...
bernard said "pshh the americans, we are gonna smashed them, that's what we came to do" yeah i hated the french before he said that, and now i hope the french false start or get DQed now.
its gonna be grevers, wildman, adrian, and jones? they'll have the WR for sure... i mean grevers went a 22.7 in the 50 in that one workout video and wildman went a 22.8 in that, adrian is a monster and jones is also a monster... im guessing thats what the relay is gonna be like
and yeah, im calling a WR in prelims... i was thinking of it the other day, its goin down... if france can ALMOST break it without bernard, the usa can DESTROY it without gwg or lezak or phelps..
So much better than trash talk.
Good job boys!
