if you have ever tried to swim while you were sick like that, you would understand... anything that throws you off like that even if its just slightly can have catastrophic repercussions... they had to delay my taper meet this winter due to snow, pushing it back one day and changing it from prelims/finals to timed finals... although i cut some time in a few events, it wasnt NEARLY as much as i know i couldve, and im not even CLOSE to the olympic level and i wasnt sick or anything... having intestinal problems like that must make it hell to try to swim against world class swimmers like she did, and i still think she did a good job, her time wasnt too shabby either
