Beisel rose up the ranks as a 200 backstroke swimmer. She qualified for the 2007 World Championships in that event. In the lead up to Olympic trials she suddenly emerged as a threat in the 400 IM. She is now the third fastest swimmer in the history of the event. She is coached by Chuck Batchelor of Attleboro Bluefish.
yeah but she wont go to college until 2011 will she ? if she does well over the next 2 seasons i cant see her swimming at college i.e. HOFF. I also hope she does NCAA the swimmers who excelled in 2008 were ncaa or had been ncaa in the past.
I hope she doesnt go pro..college swimming is great and she has plenty of time. Let her swim college and then decide the year before OT's. No one has a crystal ball so who knows what will happen in 4 years..beside, how much do you think she would get 4 years out.I wonder if ziegler ever regrets her decision to forgo college and go pro. pretty young to make that kind of decision
first of all, Durham, when you produce a 15 year old olympian you can talk. UNC is a highly respected school and chuck is an amazing coach.
I think she's a junior actually but i could be wrong. Her meet this weekend was amazing, watch out for her freestyles. 9:36. in the 1000?? 4:40 in the 500? this girl could be recruited for every event in the book- and get a full ride.
wow durham you're cool bashing a college team on a video of a great swimmer who will likely go pro. hating on teams online is a great outlet for you i guess

Her coach is just the same as well.
I think she will go pro
