Aaron has been the world's best backstroker since 2001. His only significant loss over the past seven years came to Ryan Lochte at the 2007 world championships when Lochte broke the world record in that event. Aaron trains in Austin, Texas under coach Eddie Reese.

thats sounds so aaron, he loves to be there for the
kids.He began giving back at seventeen and has never
stopped. He spoke at our blind school it was awesome!
I was at the meet, it was a blast watching him race in the early heats against some very young guys. It was great to watch him stand up and wait for his heat in his $20 training suit standing next to 3,000 worth of suits with a big grin on his face.
The 2back in the morning was great to watch 52-53.1, glad to see him still going at it and swimming things other than backstroke. It gave a lot of kids some extra fun to race with him. Despite not swimming at night having guys like him there made the meet better for everyone and gavce coaches an opportunity to point out what the best do in their races.
I was next to a kid at nationals that was
fifteen and did a 1:59 in a speedo.That kid
was Aaron ,he was about 6'2inches and I dont
think weighed more than 150lbs.I will never
forget that night, and I'm more than impressed
in the man he became.Go get em Aaron!
Thanks aaron for letting us watch you pratice,
great guy!note to jager this is the guy I tell my
son to emulate.Ten years on top and not a
bump, always humble.Aaron we need you in
this sport!!!
