Is Scott Back? I will listen to a case for Swim World Magazine doing a lot for swimming because of its longevity. But in the world of the new media, nobody has made the sport more entertaining and available than Flo. Does NBC cover swimming on a daily basis? I rest my case.
I'll give you that flo is passionate, but in the history? Heck, NBC gets swimming to WAYYYYY more people than flo does. And, NBC actually pays USA Swimming for the rights to do it. Think flo is paying anyone for the right to do any of this? Doubt it. flo just leverages other people's ownership into a way to slap resources all over the place to make money. Everyone in the business is just trying to make money.
I thought all the Swimnetwork/USA Swimming insecurities left with Scott Goldblatt and his obvious anonymous comments on this much more successful website. It looks like some other equally insecure person at Wasserman is picking up Scott's torch. Any comparison between the quality or the passion of the content on Floswimming compared to Swimnetwork is absurd. Floswimming has done more to promote this sport than any group in the history of competitive swimming.
give me a break. their coverage is boring, they don't do play by play for a lot of their meet coverage, and there is 0 passion on swimnetwork. and why don't they cover sectionals? our club program in north carolina contacted floswimming about covering sectionals and USA swimming wouldn't allow it. Even though they weren't covering it... they should be promoting the sport at all levels
USA swimming isn't keeping anyone form watching these races. They even created swimnetwork.com to promote the sport and bring you video coverage of USA swimming meet. Watch whichever event finals you like for free on their page along with other grand prix and national meets. Look into it before you blindly criticize.
I think I saw some Rams swimmers along with fellow Little Rhody Swimmers using somewhat of a similar warm-up tactic at the New England 13-19 Age Group Championships this weekend titled: "HUMAN CARWASH"
Actually, they tried to warm-up every swimmer that passed. It worked pretty well for both squads, maybe you should try it sometime lazy login'er
Not so much a warm-down as a goof-off session. Which is fine, but I wonder if they did some actual recovery swimming before/after playing? It'd be nice to note that so that we don't have 14 year old boys not warming down at meets...

Amen and No kidding..but they (usa swimming) have become a self serving organization and very small in terms of recognizing and promoting all of swimming..Oh, listening to Schubert talk about codes of conduct really puts me over the edge..from the suit debacle to limiting access..I would like to tell him about "codes of conduct"
I though this meant like torpedo kick not a TORPEDO :) I wish more people would have fun with it like this theres a time to be serious and time to enjoy it

Thanks Garrett! Tell those punks to stop fooling around or else the country will never take us serious! I told them 2000 warm down, but they never listen to me!
