Aaron has been the world's best backstroker since 2001. His only significant loss over the past seven years came to Ryan Lochte at the 2007 world championships when Lochte broke the world record in that event. Aaron trains in Austin, Texas under coach Eddie Reese.
I was just reading an article today and I believe Aaron P. is the only
American swimmer to sign a contract this year. Congrats to you, thats
a sweet deal to train in Europe a couple months a year too.
The reason we all love Aaron, we have watched
him grow up from a 16 year old surfer boy to a truely
great man. He loves the water and is a great protector of
it's future. Beyond swimming Aaron will be a contributor to this
planet, for a very long time!!
I was at the clinic too! I can't believe he swam the next day!
My dad says Aaron love's what he does thats what sets him apart!!
Good Job Aaron, thank you for comming
Eddie sure can pick them.I think the reason everyone
likes Aaron is we feel he swims for all of us. Aaron represents
us all in a way, we all respect him.
i would say that the general athlete consensus towards suits, is that most of us just want there to be one set rule that is easy to understand and follow
What guy would talk about a rival like irie with such
respect, when you've been the best for ten years!
Thats what makes Aaron the most admired swimmer
in the U.S. The Ambassasor is what the man will always
be.
THE best backstroker ever, no question. i'm not saying that nobody will break his record, but he's accomplished so much, really great guy. meet him once, really friendly, crazy hair though
Amazing he got no sleep the night before he swam, he
was in Philly till 10.00 p.m then got on a plane. Great sign
for you Aaron!! Kick some major in Rome!!
