In response to Maliah... Get out swims are the best things ever. That is when people, at least from my 14 years of swimming, have gone the fastest. What swimmer doesn't want to work their butt off to get out of the rest of workout in a get out swim. I know every time I have ever done one I get real excited cause I know I can be done with practice. You are right though, it does stink to miss it and have to keep going.
that is just stupid because if the coach tells them that they have to beat this time they get to leave because that just puts more pressure on them so they do not go as fast. and plus if you dont get the time that you needed to get you swam your heart out for no reason and you are sooooooooo tired and then after that you have to swim another fast set. i had the same thing happen to me. my coach wanted me to do a 50 breast under my best time and instead i went over it by 1 second. that video is a good influence to people that need to work their butts off to get their bedt time.
yea, will may wear a jammer at practice occasionally, but hes a monster. chris wasnt kidding when he said he can hold that pace for a mile. wills a tough distance swimmer. broke the swat record for seniors when he was 15 in the mile.
Some really great swimming especially from age group swimmers. Does he sound like Eddie Reese to anyone else, it has been a while since I was on a pool deck with Eddie but this brings back some memories.
this team is so raw they came down to swim with us for a week and coach Davis put three kids on cruches with his calf raises... He is quite superior. Who is that kid who beat amanda?
Chris Davis is by far one of the better if not the best coaches we have today. So lucky to know him. His love for the sport and his swimmers is out of this world...Great video!!
Dryland workouts aren't hard you just gotta man up deal with them they only make you better and you can feel it. Eventhough a dryland workout may hurt it can never be hard! Swimming is the hard part about the sport and dryland is the easy part.
2:46, thats pretty damn fast. and if any swim atlanta coaches/swimmers are reading this im never forgiving you for the dryland ideas you gave to coach shofe in sarasota.......he's gone mad.......
Ok, I've been pretty good about releasing a workout a week so I figure for the sake of alliteration I should start doing a Weekly Wednesday Workout. What do you think?
he was at my sectionals
ncaa "A" cut in the mile
dang
du distance: he does sound a lot like Eddie Reese
Chris sounds like a great coach, I wish I had him when I was and age group swimmer.
she was pretty damn quick
