first time I've seen this guy talk. he's not like phelps or those other olympians that have their own style of talking... he's like your regular-joe-american-guy and for that I give him props.

hes attacking his walls with more agression and not soo much worrying about the kcikout underwater. the people who are great at underwaters subconciously will easy up the last 5m into the turns to conserve and prepare themselves for the underewater kicking. peirsol knows that he is not on the same level undereater with phelps so hes going to try to distance himself from phelps at the 45m point to give him some room when phelps kicks out 15m.

What is he talking about when he says he approaches his turns differently, i.e. what is he doing instead of the big kickouts?

For the 41st year The George Haines International Swim Center welcomes some of the top swimmers in the world for The Santa Clara International Invitational. A handful of International swimmers who have already punched their ticket to Beijing will battle against some of America's Olympic hopefuls.
