 | I was apart of the team at Iowa State when the school dropped our team in 2000. It was the year that the whole Big XII fell apart. ISU consistently ranked among the top 25 since the 80's. It is a shame that swim teams get dropped in this day and age and it should not happen. It is not fair to swimmers, team, conference or anyone. There has to be better ways to save money, dropping a sport should never be the answer no matter what sport it is. |

If it can happen to a top 20 Division I program, it can happen to any
program. This isn't just a hit to Arizona State swimming, this is an
issue that affects the entire swimming community. This coverage page
will be used as a forum to rally the community, and if you have
