Dude, this guy is soooo smart. He knows everything about everything. Theres like nothing he doesnt know. I wish he was my dad. Just everything about him, he just looks like a really cool guy. Usa swimming SUCKS for firing you. Has anyone notice the dramatic decrease in world records since you were fired. SOMEBODY HIRE THIS DUDE. HES COOL

Genadijus is incredibly smart. This kind of brain does not come around often. He knows how to train athletes and he is wonderful at it.

Yeah GREAT interview for the age group side!
On a side note everyone should check out usaswimming.org 's coaches section if you want more great information from this guy! I hope to be like him someday... only better of course :) nice to actually hear some Q & A with him.

Your ability to get the pertinent, useful information from each person you interview is impressive. For a young guy you exhibit an uncanny understanding of what is essential to our sport. Keep these gems coming!

Utilizing strength over developing strength. Focusing on endurance, flexibility, and balance. PhD or not, really good advice for any age group swimmer.
