doubtful that he is gonna go under 1:30. That is a barrier that will stand for a very long time. dont get me wrong, 1:33 in high school is amazing, but he wont break 1:30 in my opinion.

Lots of talk about suits in modern times. How about the fact that most HS swimmers, Tom included, have not yet starting weight training...unlike the 90's?

Wait until Nick Folker gets his hands on Tom in the fall. Go Bears!

this kid is a beast, i think he can break 1:30.
whoa 1:30 is pushin it for now...lets see what he can do at world trials...getting him in the hands of durden may get him there in his college career but thats a long way.

he sounds like a true cali surfer dude bro man HAHA

dude don't go in with a negative attitude like that about making the World team in Rome. 1:33 is sick. You have just as good a chance as anyone going for that relay spot

You know what would be cool? Let's put a picture of ourselves winning the 200 free as our Facebook profile picture, and then Photoshop in text above it that says "200 Freestyle National Record".

Oh wait...
That picture, text included, is from OC Varsity. The newspaper photoshopped the national record thing in. If I set a national record and it was featured prominently in a major periodical, I would probably set it as my facebook picture too.

now another question is... how much did the suit help in this case. we all know joey hudepohl didn't have a new suit of the day. what would he have gone with the suit?

He's from Mission, so you know his typical swim practice is gunna be crazay. I believe Mission does a lot of yardage, mostly threshold/ red pace.
