- See Less -It could be viewed as "intimidating." Eddie's list of accomplishments in the sport of swimming could make a newcomer scared to meet a man like Coach Reese. But as that scared newcomer, I learned nothing could be further from the truth.
His peers confirm that despite being a three-time head coach at the sports Olympic Pinnacle; and despite the fact that he's won three NCAA championships in three different decades... He's just a good ol'boy with good ol'values, and if you get the chance to talk to him he'll tell you some good ol'stories.
40 NCAA Individual swimming champions, 29 NCAA relay titles, 185 All-Americans... Oh yeah, and 22 Olympians who've won 21 Olympic Gold Medals, I'd call those Hall of Fame type stats.
But to look at just the numbers would be a crime, because so much of his greatness is on the deck keeping a connection with 3 decades of 18-30 year old men. His true genius can't put to paper in a workout because he doesn't write them.
So don't be afraid of his intimating list of accomplishment. If you get the chance don't be afraid to meet Coach Reese... excuse me Eddie.
With Jaked back, does this mean Eddie is all out of excuses?
all his free agents in anything they want! HURRAY!!!!!
That means you never had him' what a loss.
When people say Eddie is the John Wooden of
swimming, and all his men become men after
four years of school and Eddie euhemism's.
O.K Eddie wheres the real book on swimming? I know
your busy but please write that book for all us that
want to be like you. The best coach EVER!!!
Love Eddie. Love all of his swimmers...especially my main man Peirsol. Good luck to all the Longhorns this summer!
again...What a joke!!!!!
