Did anyone see the piece on Tony Austin's blog talking about professional athletes using Talent Agencies to promote our gifted and quite beautiful swimmers to the public?
So that they can continue to swim as "professional swimmers"?

(Stephanie Rice piece $465,000)
Surely USA Swimming is weighing all of the options to support our great professional swimmers.
At the same time supporting our up and coming athletes, the programs, and coaches guiding these swimmers as well.
When does our USA Swimming Federation turn over the guidance of the "professionals" to the "talent agenicies"?
I'm definitely NOT saying that they must, but perhaps the athletes should be looking outside for help now that they have the go ahead to do so.
To be true professionals.
It has not been so long ago that athletes were prohibited to accept any type of sponsorship $$ to assist their training efforts.
It does seem that these swimmers deserve a heck of a lot more than "$$ below living expenses" to train as they do for the USA and our sport of swimming.
I'm just not sure it is up to USA Swimming alone to provide their entire living income.
Last question. Are there other swimming "Agent Reps" beside Evan Morgenstein out there?
Not that there is anything wrong with Evan, but he seems to be the only name I have seen tossed in the media.
Good luck swimmers.
If you think there is a way that I can help, just ask. I certainly am not criticizing without offering to support here.
The swimming community is FULL of potential sponsor companies, employing former swimmers (and even masters swimmers) who could step up and offer advice here - and assistance.
Is Floswimming big enough to reach those swimmers yet?
I think it is -
NO Anonymos Coward posting allowed.
Be brave and step up - help - support your sport, swimming.
So....hansen and jones are stand up guys, very classy, they are great ambassadors for the sports of swimming. with their communication skills and personality i'm sure they will succeed in life without swimming (if that's the route they choose or the one that will come with time)
