- See Less -Garrett started swimming as a summer leaguer at age 7. He swam 2 years of high school and decided to take the sport a little more seriously after going to his HS State Championship on a relay as a junior. His senior year, he was a runner up at the Washington State Championships in the 50 Free.
After 5 years of collegiate swimming, he hung up the goggles as a national qualifier in both backstrokes and graduated with a degree in Broadcast Journalism from The University of Missouri.
A few months after he graduated he started floswimming.org.
