it definitely is interesting watching the differences between interviews of all the great sprinters...there are the outspoken stars like gary hall who we all love, the class acts like fred bousquet, ryk neethling (even though he is more butterfly) ben wildman-tobriner, popov, and cesar, and then there are the other guys like gwg...but I'd prolly say my favorite sprinter interview on here so far is filipo magnini

I posted that france will win. I have no balls im a girl and i honestly believe france will win. Im British too (we definately WONT win!) and the truth is i would like to see another country other than the US and AUS win a relay and France have the best shot.

If this guy races like he dd at trials no one will beat him. Its all about getting your hand on the wall first when it matters in finals, and thats what Garret does. He's confident and knows what he needs to do in preparation to win.

dominated Ncaa Competition the last 4 years?breaking every record in books? what are you talking about? Are you getting him mixed up with cesar? No doubt Garrett has made some improvements and has become a great swimmer, but he is no god... obviously the true test is the olympics...I personally dont think he will do that well there, but I didnt think he was going to do well at the trials, so I guess I'll just wait and see

I think garret is the king of sprinting. he has dominated ncaa competition over the last 4 years, breaking every record on the books and now is the face of USA sprinting. He is so cool under pressure and when he gets into the ready room with all the fastest sprinters in the world he will laugh and say "I am the greatest!" Nobody can touch him.....

i dont think eamon will do well at all at the olympics. he has not only been injured as of late, but i think that he isnt as strong as these other guys and he wont go near his WR. At the trials he had over a body length lead on the field and had tons of clean water, thats not gonna happen at the olympics and I think he possibly wont even medal.

No way france can beat us, they may have a 47.5 but we got lezak who was .08 slower, then all they got is 3 guys at 48.low and we got phelps and garrett weber-gale under 48 so usa has got it

from what i've heard with guys that swam with him in schroeder, gwg is pretty arrogant, but a little confidence never hurt anyone

it probably actually makes them win races since they have zero self doubt

the french will all have to split 47.5 to beat the US and i dont see that happening...phelps will lead off in a 47.8 and the rest of the relay will split 47.5

I dont think he was being ignorant or y. I think his attitude is really great from what he was saying in the video. Its good to trust in your abilities and coaches. He looks like a man on a mission. He seems so focused. I mean he is aware of the competition around him, but not letting it affect how he will swim. I was at American long course in march where he had those breakout swims. He looked great there and i knew he would be a factor this summer. Good luck to him.
