I watched the John Urbanchek video and you asked him what this sport needs to be more popular. They need to put big meets on TV! They need a swimming channel. I believe, in a way you are a start. Why was US nationals not on TV? I saw track, I have seen bowling, I have seen spelling bees on espn! There are over a thousand channels on TVs now! I say it again, swimming needs a swimming channel. Floswimming channel 37, right next to the golf channel! I subscribe. No pressure, just something to shoot for... Keep up the good work and get back down here! reply

First off, I want to apologize for not getting a workout video up for a while. I hear all you flonatics begging for more workouts, and I'm doing my best to get them up for you.
As for this one, I've always wanted to know what was going on down in Islamorada with Race Club. Mike Bottom and the rest of the people were great for letting me come down and hang out for a day.

Bio:	Mike Bottom A world class swimmer in his day, Mike has established himself as one of the premier sprint coaches in the sport. At the past 2 Olympics, his sprinters accounted for the top 2 spots in the 50 free (Hall and Ervin in 2000, and Hall and Draganja in 2004). At the NCAA level Bottom played a role in the rise of Auburn as an assistant from 1991-1994. He then returned to his alma mater The University of Southern California in 1995, and by 1997 the USC women won their first ever NCAA championship. As the sprint coach at Cal, Mike's sprinters went through a stretch of 5 years of 100 yard free NCAA championships. After a full year at The Race Club, Mike is now the head men's coach at The University of Michigan.
