SULLIVAN é o único mais novo como ele até aqui no cenário internacional, e, entre os dois CEZÃO já mostrou que é um pouco melhor de "briga" na hora H. Heading into the Olympics I wasn't a big Auburn fan, and even though I liked listening to all of Cesar's interview on here, I wasn't a Cesar "fan" per se, but now, Cesar, you are easily my favorite swimmer. I couldn't be more happy for you and your family, you deserve everything you've received, Parabéns! Cesar Cielo: Olympic Champion!

Two months ago, a Brazilian magazine (Piauí) did a great piece on him, describing in great detail all his trials and tribulations, before becoming a NCAA phenom. It is impossible not to look up to a person that is so committed, but at the same time has such strong moral values. I just wish more people in Brazil were like that. Segue firme César!

	True posted August 18 at 12:02pm. well said, awesome. brett hawke is one of the most creative coaches in the business. getting a chance to see their ever-changing weight routine was an excellent example of this, and i feel that he couldn't have prepared cesar any better than he did. similar to the bowman/phelps relationship, i feel like hawke deserves a lot of credit for developing cesar from a huge talent into someone competitive on the ncaa level to someone who can compete with anyone in the world. congratulations to both of them
	Awesome posted August 18 at 8:13am. yeah all 8 of the guys in that final heat are at least just as talented as cesar and one of the things that separates him from the rest of the field is the hard work, training environment, and coaching he was able to receive at auburn
	Jeff Grace posted August 18 at 1:51am. come on now - I agree the man is talented, but I believe that to be an ignorant statement - there are plenty of talented swimmers that don't reach their potential - please do not discredit the hard work of a coach that helped guide an athlete to success.

	Great posted August 17 at 11:18pm. it's really good to see that after all of the "controversy" the sprint sets of auburn drummed up, that cesar could get in there and destroy the field. brett hawke's coaching style is unconventional, but clearly he and cesar are making huge things happen in the pool. also, cesar seems to be a real stand up guy. the right man (and coach) won that 50 free.

I'm a good friend of Cesar's and had the privilege to train with him and under Brett. both great guys and I lost myself when he won those two medals. the most humble champion you will meet and the nicest competitor. A great friend and a great champion. Well done Cesar and Brett!!!

	london84 posted August 17 at 5:35pm. I love this guy in more ways than one. He showed the world how much he wanted gold. He is so genuine and I'd be privileged to meet him. I hope he comes to London in 2012 and has good reasons to cry! Enjoy the break Cesar as you truely deserve it! Also I'm glad the french guys got silver and bronze especially Bernard as he comes across as a great bloke. Sullivan took his losses like a loser but Bernard took his 50 like a man!

Man when are you ever going to hear an athlete in an event that is the testosterone event in our sport admit openly without any provoking that he got that emotional about being away from his family. As I have posted before when I got to talk to him for a while at NCAAs I became a fan because of his obvious passion for what he was doing and the genuine person he is. I know I have said this before but congrats Cesar you deserve it and thank you for being so honest and open in your interviews!

I was rooting for him in that final and i couldnt be happier that he won. he seems like a great guy that really deserved that moment and seeing him start to cry after that race was one of my favorite olympic moments this year, including all of phelps' swims. congrats cesar!
