She is done. Given very bad advice to move away from Yetter, blaming him for Olypmic meltdown. Who is to blame for her performance at WCT.....Bowman? She needs to step up to the plate, take ownership of her own swimming and stop looking for people to blame.

In indy she missed the world teams. She got 8th if I remember in one of her events this past weekend. I think she should become more consistent like Elizabeth Pelton who is a 15 year old also from NBAC that made worlds in like 3 events!

oh come on, i agree the suits help some people and not others, how can you be so sure katie hoff was affected so much? she had a bad big meet (the olympics) and she has bad big meets in the past. while she is an incredible performer, she seems to do a belly flop at the biggest, most important meets.

I think its sad how people judge her on her performnace at the olympics. firstly she did fine, 3 medals. It just seems sad that in a sport such as swimming where people continoulsy say its not just a once every 4 year sport that people forget her previous accomplishments over the last 4 years. Should her worlds medals mean as much as her olympic medals they probaly dont but they should. In 2007 she was the best in the world and in 2008 she wasnt but 2008 was the OLYMPICS. But isnt OLYMPICS just a word ? It seems that so much attention is focused on the olympics that the journey is forgotten, and all other accomplishments will only ever be remembered as part of the journey. We forget Katie is just 19 years old she could well become one of the most decorated ever but if she doesnt, she should be looked at as a champion and the fact she was better in 2007 than in 2008 should never be an issue.

Stephanie Rice wont be a problem if hoff is not going to do IM anymore which is stupid two time world champion, former WR holder but doesnt like the event so she goes with freestyle! Rebecca Adlington, Joanne jackson, Pelligrini, Balmey, Knutson now (many more) yeah she should go with IM

yeah the change really worked in this swim i mean i know its in season but maybe 8:29 would have been more 'acceptable'. I just hope she isnt still a mental mess, there is no physical reason she cant be an olympic champion but two olympics and two mental breakdowns

It's obvious that the reason for the change was that she wasn't getting the results she wanted and maybe this change will help...

I agree...Kate was getting a little stressed and searching of a political answer during the interview. At least she answered like a champ instead a bill belichick type response.

It sounds like she avoided the question about Paul. Does anyone know the real reason why she left him? I wonder if it was similar to the ed Moses issue. I know its not really relevant, but the deviant side of me is curious. Thanks!
