alot of times i feel that weights before practice is the best way to go. most of the time you dont really feel that soreness from lifting until a few hours afterwards or the next day. yeah itll take a little while to get your feel in the water after lifting but its a lot better than lifting after practice, because then your body is cashed and you are not able to maximize your power output in the weightroom.

Andy you are truly a gift to the swimming world. You should show the weight belt sets you do in the water. Fun to watch!! Keep up the good work.

You can do the body wheel without the wheel and get pretty much the same effect, although not as efficiently. Just walk your hands out, then walk, your feet up to your hands without bending your knee, and repeat.

I hate going from dry land to swimming sprits, or just swimming in general, because I hate it when coaches expect fast swims. I'll swim it as hard as I can, but dont expect much.

Andy is the man.. and freaking strong too. This guy practices what he preaches.. you saw the standing ab wheel... he can also throw 300 on the bar and clean it for reps too.. incredible.

Andy is the man...one can only image when he gets fired up on the deck and pushing you trough a real hard set. I love it!

Honestly, the ab-wheel "trick" - he's the king. I remember one morning he did 50 of them in sets of 5 just to prove me that he's a strong man - insane.

I had the hardest time finding Froggys Gym. Probably because I was really taken back by Isamorada, Florida and its paradise-like first impression.
Anywayx the point is that I missed weights but I did catch them during their circuit, before they left for the pool.
Race Club Strength Coach Andy Diechert was nice enough to explain each exercise for us.
